Today a reader, tomorrow a leader

Updated: Nov 28, 2019

Yesterday was a special day. Bardelli Books launched their first book, To be or nut to be, at the Dorothy Butler's children bookshop in Auckland, New Zealand.

To be or nut to be, narrates Mighty Squirrel’s journey of surprises and self-discovery. Anxious at first, Mighty Squirrel finds the resources he needs to conquer his fears and survive in the forest.

Author, Eve Charles, has combined her two passions – writing and hypnotherapy – to weave positive affirmations throughout her stories to unlock the power of positive thinking.

Engaging, encouraging and easy to follow, this is the first of six books within the Bardelli Books' Imagine If series designed to educate, motivate, and empower children to build their confidence and self-love, one page at a time.

“An incredible journey home”, is how Eve describes publishing her first children’s picture book.

Eve who was born in France and moved to New Zealand seven years ago describes the positive impact New Zealand has had on her life and in shaping the person she has become.

“This is the book I wish I had when I was a child, which I’m hoping will gift young minds the tools they need to make their own decisions and question the status quo, whilst also remembering that no matter what choices they make, they will always be loved”.

Relocating to Aotearoa with her Kiwi husband and two free-range kids, Eve had to rethink her life completely. “It was undeniably difficult at first having to change careers, build new friendships and survive postnatal depression. New Zealand is now my home and my journey here has given me the courage to become whom she was meant to be”, she says.

To be or nut to be provides a metaphor for life, with its doubts and setbacks and the tools one needs to move forward.

The Imagine If series is designed to transport you and your little ones to another world, where imagination is fuelled, and treasured memories are created. It features life-changing stories exploring curiosity and problem solving making children believe that anything is possible.

All you need to do to stimulate positive enduring change ... is to open the first page and read.

The book is available for purchase on the Bardelli Books’ website and in selected bookshops. It will be available for purchase on Amazon in December.
